TRAINING ON SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (POST-2015) AKA WOMEN 2030 IN COLLABORATION WITH THE WOMEN ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAMME
As part of measures to compact poverty, access to land, water, sanitation and energy among women and men in Nigeria is imperative, Women Environmental Programme (WEP) in collaboration with Center for Development Support Initiative (CEDSI) carried out a training for women CSOs networking to realise the Sustainable Development Goals (Post-2015) AKA women 2030. This was held at CEDSI training hall on 13th June 2017, by 9.00am till 4.30pm.
Ten (10) participants were drawn from Women Civil Society Organisations (CSO) in Rivers State for the purpose of the training.
The overall and specific objectives of the training as adequately highlighted in the main body of the report, were met with the full participation and involvement of all trainees.
It is interesting to note that participants have all embraced the need to promote and support the 17 sustainable goals and her 169 targets in their various local government areas and the communities at large
